So heres what I like: - You create your own playlist of warm ups. - You set a range that is unique for your voice. If you dont know your range it will give you SATB choices to choose from. - There is a number of exercises to choose from with varying degrees of difficulty and intervals. - After you decide what exercises you like then you create a play list. - I know that it takes me between 15-18 mins to get to church so I have designed two playlist. 1) 4 min warm up with a 1 octave range. 2) 18 min stretch with a 2 octave range. - The great thing is you can have multiple playlist/warm ups and when you adjust the range it will automatically adjust the amount of time it takes to perform the warm up. What I dislike: - The app is $2.99 - The home screen is the "How To" screen. So each time you open it you have to click your playlist. - Although the app gives you readable examples of what to sing it only plays piano for the warm ups and does not have a vocal listening example. BUT, I like to mix up my vowel and consonant sounds so this allows for flexibility. Suggestions when using the app: - I have created two playlist because the first warm up should never take me too high or too low. That causes strain. Create multiple playlist that will gently stretch you and work you up/down to your limits. - Do not use the app for the first time in the car. LOL Yes, I did this. You will want to read the screen for each exercise and see the vowel suggestions they give. Be Safe! - Do not use with headphones or ear buds. You cant properly match pitch. Make the kids warm up with you! - Your mouth will get tired with certain vowel sounds so mix it up. If you need suggestions for different techniques let me know. Happy Singing!
